Lower your energy bills

One of the
main reasons for higher energy bills, especially in the summer time is lack
of attic insulation.
Adding it to any structure is one of easiest and most cost effective ways of lowering
these bills. As a rule of thumb you should have at least 12 to 24 inches
of insulation in your attic, covering the duct work, plumbing pipes and
cold air returns. Basically if you can see the tops of the boards in your
attic, your insulation is poor.
Proper ventilation is also very important; it allows the insulation do
its job more effectively. Turbines, fans and eve vents are a great way
to achieve this.
There are some great new products on the market such as radiant sprays
and blown-in insulation which are also "green product materials".
